Hey Alex, I have built my rig of 80/20 and its great to use. Here are some pics for you. Because the legs are so long, there is a bit of sway it you bump it, but its not part of my chair/pedals so its totally isolated from my sawing on the wheel. I like it and its very adjustable.

I was thinking of doing a separate stand-along monitor mount like that, but that wont work they way we have things in the room now.

My current cockpit is mounted on furniture moving feet, so its is a fully self contained movable unit with a umbilical cord (HDMI, power, network). I want/need to keep it that way, thus the folding side monitors setup.

This is the setup I am using.  G27 wheel and pedals with a Pastore load cell on the brake.  Monitor stand is Sim Seats.  Everything is on a movable platform such that when I am told it is time to sweep in this corner of the room I unplug the internet connection and 1 120v plug and move the unit out.  I started single screen with the flat screen that is on the wall.  iSpeed is now on the flat screen.  The wallpaper on the 3 monitors (24" ASUS no speakers) is from the start of the Mid-Ohio race.  I have a splitter on the heaset so my wife can listen in while watching the madness of the LZRacing league action!  Power strip I use is kind of neat ... has 4 slave locations controlled by 1 master.  The computer is plugged into the master, screens and pedals into the slave.  When I shut the computer down everything shuts off.  Computer is a Main Performance Turbo X2500K with 8 gb ram, AMD Radeon HD 7970 card, 4 core Intel at 3.30 GHz.  I've been quite happy with the computer performance.

Larry, That is a really great setup. Well laid out and the attention to detail is......well just say I'm jealous.

Very nice job!

Thank you.  Made from scraps I had in the workshop.  Only thing I purchased was 1/4 round to keep monitor stand in place and the castors, so I don't have a lot in the stand.

Fella's, both of those set ups are super sweet! I'm the jealous one for sure! I'm still running a single monitor set up, no rig, no play seat!  :'(
Could I be the only LZ dude without a dedicated rig?!

BUT....
The future holds great promise :)

In the next 2 months I plan to obtain/set up:
- 3: 27" LED monitors (i have them already, but nothing to mount them to yet).
- Monitor mount(s)
- Playseat (know of any good deals?)
- PC is already rocking a Quad Core AMD at 3.4 GHZ with 8Gig of RAM
- second video card needed for the additional monitors

Once I have that all set up, watch out! heh heh
At least I won't be driving blind anymore when racing side by side at 150mph.
I will just have try my best and drive as fast as I can. - Kimi Raikkonen.

Really nice setups guys.

I am moving to multiple screens soon. My pc is good, but I will have to upgrade my graphics card. Just not sure how big I want to go with it.

Really like your setup Larry. The ispeed on the big screen is awesome.

I am currently doing heavy research on the triple screen setup. And so it begins....................................

Is this the stand you are using Larry?

And Coop, if you are still shopping for a seat, this seems priced very reasonable:

Thanks for links! Both stand and seat look very enticing. I think the real decider is what arm they'll take to pay for shipping to Canada!
I really like the monitor stand.
