http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Integra

The Honda Integra (sold in some markets as Acura Integra) is a compact luxury performance coupe made by Honda during the years 1985 to 2006. The sporty front-wheel-drive car is able to carry five passengers with two-door hatch or four-door sedan available.

A Civic is a ok hatch then?

I see coupe in the first sentence. :)   most Ferraris have a hatch too but they usually (except the GT's 599 etc.) are for accessing the engine.

I am just trying to help flesh this out.

Sorry to be a pita.

There are a ton of cars on GT5 that fall into the "Hatch" Category, if it looks like a Egg on wheels you are probably ok.

G I was just being a bit a jerk there  8)  I was saying to Racecar73 earlier that there are going to be a million questions in this class because of other peoples interpretations of the definition.

And the 50 cars that probably fit in this category is the reason I didn't make a list. It would take forever going through the garage.

If it looks like the Mini, Golf, Focus, Renault you are ok.

If it looks like a coupe or sedan (does not have a flat back) it is not ok.

And better we get this out of the way now G so no one is surprised come race day.

I think the egg on wheels analogy was the best.

Nice selection on the tracks!

It's probably just the different variances in what people call a coupe or hatchback.  I know I wasn't the only one as last night there was Sti & Ford Focus testing.  Both would fall under the "egg shape" but are also classified as coupes which I would assume make them no good.

Also mentioned has been the mini, but keep in mind a good % of the Coopers are not a hatch but have a 5 door configuration same is true of the twin spark which has I believe has at least 4 representations of a hatchback / coupe
version.

All good Delta. Better to get it out of the way now.

I knew members were going to scramble for something different, but through my first test session, the obvious choices seem to working out the best.  Don't over think it.

If it becomes too much of an issues, I will go through the premium dealership and make a list of acceptable cars.

If I must make a list, standard cars will be left out because that is just too much work.

But, I don't want to have to do that. There are lots of standard cars that fit.

I would think a Ford Focus is a hatchback, as long as it doesn't look like the escort.

Yes, I know. I hope it is late enough in the day that it doesn't effect anything.

I know for me, I will be done with the mother's day activities way before race time.

Props to mom. :)

I got double duty...
Mom's Day and Anniversary!  Didn't really plan that out 16 yrs ago ;)

Not trying to over think it, I just figure this will be the class that you can really separate yourself if you pick wisely.
The main car I'm exploring was running 3-4 seconds faster than everything else last night. Two of the courses scare me
due to low power so I want to have 2 equal cars to fully tune and work the kinks out.
