Looks good Scot.  Did you modify the paint with gimp?

I am  up and running with gimp.

Modified my paint, mirrors are now white and I took out the fade at the back end.  The pink and baby blue are gone.

If anyone else wants me to modify theirs, just send me your file.

Groovy man! I can't wait to see your modified paint.
Is GIMP pretty easy to use? I'd like to give it a go and see what I can modify on my paint.

I am not a designer or a computer guy by any means, but I think with a little practice I can put out some nice skins.

If you are familiar with layers and how they work, it is a similar concept. I learned how to use layers running Autocad (that's how a made the logo) so it was a pretty easy concept to me.

If you know how to use paint (that's how I colored them) and have lots of time to color pixels then you got it.

I already took an image of a logo I pulled from the web (simple copy and paste) and put it on a white McLaren. I actually put a hood and side logos on it pretty quickly.

So with a little practice it should all come together. I have not even scratched the surface of the tools in the program, I am just starting to mess around in there.

And when I consider the ability to use all the programs together correctly (Autocad, Paint, etc) I am envisioning some beautiful paints. 8)

Ok I painted my mirrors today and git rid of some of the pink.  It's a little jaggy but not bad.

Gimp is like Photoshop in most ways. The interface is not as pretty but it is good in some ways and worse in others. Neither are the easiest program to get started with, but not bad. However VERY deep, so you can learn it at a surface level and do a lot but there is so, so much you can learn and do with it. In my opinion it is pretty amazing software.

I noticed the resemblance to Photoshop.
So, I gave it a go and got nowhere with it.  :-\ I'll give it another go, but if that doesn't work out, Jeremy, I'll be making some requests.  ;D
I like your choice of color for your mirrors!

The biggest issue I had getting started was getting on a paintable layer.

When you open the template files you are not on a paintable layer, so it took me a few to figure that out.
