HOT HATCH
PP:400
Tires:Sports Hard
Must fit the spirit of Hot Hatch. I realize there are certain "coupes" that have a "hatch". (Celica, RX7, etc). Just because it has a hatch does not mean it fits. It needs to be a "Hatch Back" body style. (Twin Spark, Mini, Civic, etc). If you have any questions about your car choice, ask before the series starts.
Production cars only. No race cars, RM's , or concepts. No limit on tuning.
***After you make your choice, you may change cars 1 time during series. Test wisely.***

AMERICAN PONY CAR
PP:500
Tires:Sports Soft
Only 3 cars qualify for this class: '10 Camaro SS, '08 Challenger SRT, '07 Mustang GT
No limit on tuning.
**After you make your choice, no car changes through the series.***

SPEC
Car: '09 Cheverolet ZR1 (C6) RM
HP:690
KG:1100
Tires:Racing Soft
Buy a new Corvette, race mod, paint, put softs on it, limit the engine down a bit and hit the track!  These cars are fast, light, and handle great. No more tuning to power/weight. After Race Mod, these come in at 694 Hp I believe. We will be limiting them to 690Hp the whole series.
We will continue with the longer A race, and heavy damage.

I do not have the whole track schedule ready yet, but the first track will be Deep Forest.

Get Testing and Tuning!!

Post by: racecar73 on Mon May, 7 @ 05:41 AM (pacific)
This is being reposted as a reminder.

1) The language. There has been an awful lot of swearing going on in the race lounge and it needs to stop. I am by no means offended personally, I can cuss with a sailor. But, some of our members do have other family in the room while racing. I understand racing is intense and emotional, and after a mistake you may want to drop a couple f- bombs, but we need to clean up the room.
I know we have a room full of adults, but please WATCH YOUR MOUTH!!!

2) Excess noise in the head set. There is a mute button on the side of your bluetooth. Please use it.  We dont want to hear your conversations with everybody else. I understand liking race music, I always have tunes on during practice. But, come race time please keep it down so it does not come through the headset. Last night coming through the mono speaker of the headset was like a drill bit in the ear.

3) Patience. More Patience. And yet more Patience. I understand the room was laggy last night. But there is no reason racers should be getting damaged ON THE PARADE LAP. It's a parade lap, back off! There should be a couple of car lengths between every car during the parade lap. Single File. There is no reason to be that close to someone during that lap. That race is so long and filled with adversity, the 10-20 seconds at the beginning of the race it does not matter. Clip and I routinely started at the back of that grid and still finish on the podium.

4) Madison--get a wire on that thing. It should improve connection in the whole room. Please, if possible, get it hooked up before the finals. Thank you. That also applies to anyone else running wireless. Please put a wire on it. And please everyone get in the habit of clearing your cache and power cycling all your routers and modem before we race on Sundays. It should help clear up some issues.

Thank You!

Thank you for the pics G. Greatly appreciated, I know you were crazy tired last night.

Love the car choices! I don't have a lot of time in the hatchbacks, just enough to know they are fun. The Camaro is my fav IRL and in the game (see mine in pictured in my avatar) and I will be driving that beautiful blue one pictured above. Being a Chevy mechanic, the ZR1 is always a top choice in my book. I'm planning on being a real contender in my two Chevy's this series, be warned!  8)

Edit: Oh, yea, my apologies for letting one slip in the first race last night, another quarter in the swear jar. I did catch myself, though, so at least I'm showing improvement. I'll keep working on that.  ;D

Slips are gonna happen, its an intense game. I think we did fine last night.

Just trying to cut down on the repeated swearing. It was getting excessive.

Post by: GT0 (Alex) on Mon May, 7 @ 11:49 PM (pacific)
Tested the cars out a bit tonight. Will be interesting to see how it goes.

The hatch feel really easy till you are flying off the track helplessly.

Glad to see you have to up tune the Mustang - I guess that will give you some options for it. I tried light weight, low power and honestly it didn't do well.

The ZR1 I ran straight out of the tune shop. It felt hard to control but fun. I figured from RM'ing it, it ought to set you up with RHs at least (Race mod = race tires, no?) but actually it comes on SH...! Try it, its fun.

My test results didn't pan out on Racecars lounge.

Lots of work to be done.
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Clipless72 on Tue May, 8 @ 05:58 AM (pacific)
Agreed G..that hot hatch class is going to take alot of testing, especially because we are only permitted a single car change.  Not sure what I am going with in B class either but it sounds like the mustang may be a bit week.  I have to tune and test some more.
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: racecar73 on Tue May, 8 @ 06:24 AM (pacific)
Through 1 test session.......

C Class:

I have about 4 Hatches that are really close to each other and I believe will be competitive.

B Class:

I put all the parts on and gave it my standard FR tune:

The SRT is in the lead right now. I actually didn't think it would be that nice!

The SS is just as fast, but a little more unstable. Some fine tuning may be ale to get that out of it.

The GT surprised me a little bit. I believe some fine tuning will also make this car competitive.

This B class may be very interesting, I think all the cars can compete.

A Class:
What is there to say besides ZR1? That car is Super Bad Ass.
Put some racing softs on GT0, and hang on!!!
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Delta795 on Tue May, 8 @ 06:46 AM (pacific)
Have the courses been picked? I ran with Kody, Dragon and Madison in testing last night and found with some heavy tuning the SS was a bit too skiddish.  What really surprised me was the SRT had the best handling and the GT was the fastest.

Have the courses been picked?  This will definitely effect my hatch back pick...I found a sleeper that was crazy quick in the corners but a bit lacking in top end.

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: racecar73 on Tue May, 8 @ 07:01 AM (pacific)
The courses have not been picked yet, but there will be a mixture of all lengths.

First track is Deep Forest.

Is there is list of banned hatchbacks?

What about a Integra Type R?

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: racecar73 on Tue May, 8 @ 08:08 AM (pacific)
Hahaha. No list of banned hatches.

I figured everyone knew what a "hatchback" was. ???

The Integra is definitely not a hatch back.

I would just make a list, but there are so many standard models it would take me 2 weeks.

It should look like a small station wagon with a flat back. No coupes or sedans.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Integra (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Integra)

The Honda Integra (sold in some markets as Acura Integra) is a compact luxury performance coupe made by Honda during the years 1985 to 2006. The sporty front-wheel-drive car is able to carry five passengers with two-door hatch or four-door sedan available.

A Civic is a ok hatch then?
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: racecar73 on Tue May, 8 @ 08:33 AM (pacific)
There is a Civic Hatchback ('97). This car qualifies.

There is a Civic Sedan. ('08 I believe). This car does not qualify.

Just because it has a hatch does not make it a "hatch back".  Late 80's Camaros had a hatch too.............

I see coupe in the first sentence. :)   most Ferraris have a hatch too but they usually (except the GT's 599 etc.) are for accessing the engine.

I am just trying to help flesh this out.

Sorry to be a pita.

There are a ton of cars on GT5 that fall into the "Hatch" Category, if it looks like a Egg on wheels you are probably ok.

G I was just being a bit a jerk there  8)  I was saying to Racecar73 earlier that there are going to be a million questions in this class because of other peoples interpretations of the definition.
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: racecar73 on Tue May, 8 @ 09:58 AM (pacific)
And the 50 cars that probably fit in this category is the reason I didn't make a list. It would take forever going through the garage.

If it looks like the Mini, Golf, Focus, Renault you are ok.

If it looks like a coupe or sedan (does not have a flat back) it is not ok.

And better we get this out of the way now G so no one is surprised come race day.

Nice selection on the tracks!

It's probably just the different variances in what people call a coupe or hatchback.  I know I wasn't the only one as last night there was Sti & Ford Focus testing.  Both would fall under the "egg shape" but are also classified as coupes which I would assume make them no good.

Also mentioned has been the mini, but keep in mind a good % of the Coopers are not a hatch but have a 5 door configuration same is true of the twin spark which has I believe has at least 4 representations of a hatchback / coupe
version.

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: racecar73 on Tue May, 8 @ 12:38 PM (pacific)
All good Delta. Better to get it out of the way now.

I knew members were going to scramble for something different, but through my first test session, the obvious choices seem to working out the best.  Don't over think it.

If it becomes too much of an issues, I will go through the premium dealership and make a list of acceptable cars.

If I must make a list, standard cars will be left out because that is just too much work.

But, I don't want to have to do that. There are lots of standard cars that fit.
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Msand on Tue May, 8 @ 12:54 PM (pacific)
I would think a Ford Focus is a hatchback, as long as it doesn't look like the escort.

Props to mom. :)

I got double duty...
Mom's Day and Anniversary!  Didn't really plan that out 16 yrs ago ;)

Not trying to over think it, I just figure this will be the class that you can really separate yourself if you pick wisely.
The main car I'm exploring was running 3-4 seconds faster than everything else last night. Two of the courses scare me
due to low power so I want to have 2 equal cars to fully tune and work the kinks out.

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Clipless72 on Tue May, 8 @ 02:27 PM (pacific)
hey delta don't forget to get it approved by Racecar 4 seconds is a huge gap.

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: racecar73 on Tue May, 8 @ 04:02 PM (pacific)
Not doubting you Delta, but Clip is the king of low pp cars. Good luck separating from him.

He's Canadian, so if he can drink beer and drive it at the same time he is hard to beat. When he has to his beer down for the faster cars he is vulnerable. :)

If there is any doubt about your car choice, pm me and I will let you know. If you don't want to give it away.

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Mudd on Tue May, 8 @ 08:40 PM (pacific)
Well, I found my best premium hatch, I hope it'll be good enough against the standards. I'm not familiar enough with the smaller cars to be able to search through the 1,000+ standards in my garage. I literally have to open them up individually to look for a hatch.  ::)  Havn't been lucky enough to stumble on to any standards that really stand out. I now completely understand why there is no list, them tiny cars are hiding everywhere! Hopefully I'll catch a couple of you practicing before the weekend so I can see how my choice stacks up.
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: GT0 (Alex) on Tue May, 8 @ 09:05 PM (pacific)
I'm going to run the Challenger. Not sure what to do with the Mustang and I would rather be dragged behind a car than drive those horrible, terrible camaroes :)

Volvo C30 is my pick. Rabbit r32 felt decent too but I ran the c30 way, way back and would like to try again.

Not sure about class A yet. The zr1 makes an amazingly stupid sound, so I am thinking the Z06 which is a decent car on snow tires.

No problem! I'll be happy to drag your Challenger around behind my Camaro through Series 9, GTO!  ;D

That's awesome!  I know Clip is fast, so I guess I may need to check him into the boards to separate ;D
I was surprised when you said best time last night as that was right at where I was since it wasn't even close on Monday.

Problem with my other car is it's like playing with nun-chucks...80% of the time you're Bruce Lee, crazy fast powerful & a worldbeater. The other 20% you're the fat kid on YouTube hitting yourself in the NUTZ!
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: racecar73 on Wed May, 9 @ 05:48 AM (pacific)
I am using a premium hatch Mudd. I always use premium unless there is just a standard that blows everything away. And I did not find one. Clip and I kept trading the fastest lap time back and forth, and we were both in premiums.

I worked through the 3 choices for B. From my testing, all 3 cars will be competitive. I was within a .7 of second of my best time with the other 2. Should be a really competitive class. The sports softs are the main facter in this class. ;D

Anyone complaining about the ZR1 is just impossible to please. That car is an absolute beast. Its fast, light, brakes and handles great. I guess unless you like suck? We could just do the Scuds again. 8)

Liking the hockey references, makes me feel at home delta.  Go leafs g...forget it.

This series looks like fun.

I just hope we can keep some diversity in the C class.  If someone pulls out a car that is significantly faster then all the rest it could turn into a spec race really fast.

oh did I hear scudz again,  yeah let's do that its and AWESOME car, prolly the best handling car n the game.  I don't know why Kaz didn't put it on the cover.
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Delta795 on Wed May, 9 @ 06:02 AM (pacific)
We had 7 or 8 on last night and just about as many different cars.  I love the ZR1's, but last night with a few of the newest guys it was like pinball on that tight course, but I'm sure that will get worked out before race time.

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: racecar73 on Wed May, 9 @ 06:03 AM (pacific)
We have 17 officially signed up.

I found 4-5 hatches that were close. I have 1 that is my favorite, but they were close enough to compete. Should keep a good mix.

And I burned that Scud to the ground when we were done. ;)

A sacrifice to the gods of racing, I understand.  Plus you don't sacrifice a crappy car it would only piss them off.  Ever seen an ugly girl get sacrificed in a movie? nope and that why.

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Mudd on Wed May, 9 @ 08:26 AM (pacific)
The ZR1 is an excellent race car, but it's had a funny drivetrain sound ever since GT5 release. It actually was much worse originally, that's the "patched" drivetrain noise you hear now. I don't understand why there is such a difference in sound between that and the Z06, maybe overcompensating for the supercharger or something.

Can everyone pick a unique number for the RM cars? And not just all use no 1

Clip can have no 1 since he won the last championship

I am no 41, it's my NASA number. I was 41 when I started with NASA track events and have used the same number on a few cars.

But, Clip does have the choice to run the #1 plate if he chooses to.

NO ONE ELSE MAY RUN THE #1.

So pick a number.

I also updated the Series tab on the home page to let everyone know to pick a number.

Practiced with some of these guys last night. Surprised to see almost 10 people in a practice room. Haven't seen that since the early days of GT5 and this league. Was quite awesome. Chances of me making this race is slim though. Mothers day and 6pm and racing won't go well together this weekend.

But I'll take #20.

As do I Mudd (dshsteeler7). I can change though if you want the 7.  I would race you for it but that would be a waste of your time. Better to concede now and save the hassle.  I'll take 17

Looks like you've sorted it out, but if #7 means sumthin' to you I don't mind switching. My second choice is #23.  8)

It's all yours

when looking at the car in your gerage. at the bottum of your screen you will see a "99" select that and it will allow you to change the number.

On the same page in your garage where you do the tuning. Down at the bottom of the screen one of the boxes has a "99" on it I believe.

Click that box, you can choose 1 - 99 for #'s and 4 different styles.

Only on race cars, you cant change them all.

Lets sum up practice,  ;D

What worked in a solo lounge does not work with a full lounge.

C Class slow and pushy, 2 seconds off the pace. Tried to make time by going too fast on the last before the staight and ended up in the pit lane. Trans followed me in.

B Class less slow with push and heavy throttle over-steer.  Hard to save a spin

A Class race softs in trouble after 3 laps, drives like a real vette with sudden snap over-steer and little to no feedback to let you know its coming around.

So a normal start for the league

I'm still up in the air with the hatchbacks, havn't had much time in them and I missed the first part of last nights practice. I have no time in the 'Stang, but I promise you the Chally and the Camaro can be tamed with the right setup. Both of them have quite a bit of adjustability available as far as their track temperament and they are both pretty fast. I completely agree with G on the 'Vette. It's a seriously fast monster but you really have to show it who's boss if you wanna keep it strait. Combine that with the short life on the tires, I think the Vette races are gonna be a serious workout for everyone.

Got some more practice in late last night (thanks Morbid and Dead for hanging out so late)
Hot Hatch: Trying one more car, but just can't match the fluidity of the Swift.
Pony Cars: Soo much fun, I thought I would hate them but having a blast.  I think just the variety each of these cars bring of the 3 should make this series crazy fun.
ZR1  WHOA NELLY!!!  This class is gonna be challenging, I can only get 3 good laps in with my tires??? Between loosing grip, heavy damage a tight course this class should be very interesting.

I won't be on tonight, but confirmed I'm in for Sunday

That was some of the best racing I've had in quite a while. Love the Car/Classes Racecar! The B class race tonight literally kicked my but. I got caught up in a mess early, and had to pass every single one of those ridiculously wide bumpers, (some of you twice), and THEN I had to try and hold off Kody. Waaaayyy too much fun! I hope I wasn't overly aggressive with anyone, I will admit using the 'chrome horn' a couple of times in that one, I really had no choice. What a race! I hope we can post some pics!

Was a bit of a mad scramble right up till race time for me, but we got everybody in. Glad the Deep Forest lounge had 9 racers. Hope  we can keep up this kind of attendance.

C Class, qualified on the pole with my Civic. Had the lead well under control until I pushed just a bit too hard on the last turn. Cost me at least 2-3 spots that I could not make up.

B Class, once again, got out front. Ran most of the race in the lead, watching my tires fade. Towards the end, got passed by Mudd and Kody. I just didn't have any tires left the last 2 laps.

A Class. What is there to say. These cars are a blast! It was actually much cleaner than I expected. Had a good run for me, little damage on the first tire stint, but that was it. Spent the rest of the time chasing down the leaders. Made my mistake when Mudd went in and I stayed out. Never caught back up to him. Passed Kody damaged on the second to last lap for second place.
I was impressed with the patience displayed in this class. Great job members.

I was running late and not expecting to host the lounge, still we got everyone in and started on-time.  Even the rolling start went off cleanly.

I must have found a drift tune for my CIVIC because that's what I was doing every turn, I will have to fix that,

I had a great time playing last night, but terrible luck.

First race, I qualified 2nd and was running a solid race staying in 2nd, but got disconnected. :(

2nd race, I started on pole, but on the last turn of the first or 2nd lap my rear tires hit the curbing like I do all the time and the rear end just shot around with no way to recover and sent me right into the pits sideways. It look forever for the computer to straighten out the car and get back in the race. By the time I got out of the pits I was dead last. I made my way back up to 5th place though.

3rd race, I was doing well and got up to 2nd and planned to only pit once, but I didn't realize how undriveable the car was on dead tires. I should have taken my first pit at lap 13 or 14, but waited until 15 and spun 4 times trying to get the car around to the pits. I should have changed strategies at this point, but didn't so I tried to drive slow to save tires, but it didn't really seem to save them as much as I had hoped and ended up with dead tires on the 2nd to last lap, so I spun a few more times and limped the car around. to finish 6th So yea, I wouldn't recommend doing just one pit, it wasn't worth it.

Can't wait for next Sunday.

that was an interesting night for sure. I hate all the classes not name C :)

Just kidding it was a good time for sure.  Here is how my night went down:

C:  I like C but my Suzuki doesn't have the top end speed that the other do, so I am going to have to do some more testing and use my 1 and only pick wisely.  Maddison and I had a great battle that seem to last for ever.  I could not pass her with the draft, it only kept me close as she would still pull on me a bit.  I did dive bomb her on one corner and take the lead but that only lasted until the next straight.

B: HMM I dont remeber much except staring at that friggin gold car with the messed up trunk ;D.  I was running in the lead pack until a rookie error on the last corner (anyone guess what that was?) put me into the wall and almost into the pits.

C:  This was pretty fun and I even had the lead for a while.  The problem I had was I watched racecar go into the pits and I decided to follow on lap 20ish as he was the leader at the time.  This was not the pit strategy I was planning on doing and it hurt me significantly near the end.  I did pull off a super move on lap 18 just before going under the bridge. I was chasing GTO and spun into a full 360 and recovered barely losing any ground.  It was a total fluke and I couldn't believe it myself, but super cool.

We will see what next week brings, it's going to be a battle for the top 5 now.

Post by: goldenfri on Mon May, 14 @ 07:43 AM (pacific)
Yea I liked the way the suzuki handled the best but figured that the lack of the 6th gear would hurt me on the straights in future tracks.. Like gfactor, my civic was very oversteery, going to have to try and work that out before the next race.

To all you vets who started lzracing, Thank you. I have not had so much fun on a game  since ps3 came out. abbot the race tho.

c class- I had no clue what to use other than a few laps in practice my c4 ran about 2 seconds off. oddly enough it seemed much faster in the race. i didn't do great but it was a long mostly clean race and my car ran ok. no drama lol.

b class- what a race!! my car ran great and I managed to inch my way up the whole race till the last few laps I was in an epic battle with mudd. I knew his tires were getting bad and in the last corner I let her loose and just got him by .02 of a sec. first lz win and I about had a heart attack.

a class- wow talk about a knives edge. I knew by starting last I could save my tires and pass some of those who will inevitably crash.. and this plan worked great. I decided since I had decent tires to go an extra lap and pit on 10 and 20 giving me 7 laps on the tires and this plan worked great. I was inching up on mudd till I had hin down to 6 seconds with 4 laps. unfortunately I got stuck behind some traffic and it knocked me back down to ten seconds. with 2 laps left I had closed the gap to 6 once again but I was pushing my tires and my car to the limit and I found the line. just a bit of grass and a tiny wall bump damaged my car to the core. this gave race car a chance and he took It lol. I ended up 3rd but I am happy with top 5 all day.

great racing you guys. most fun I've had on a Sunday night in a loop long time!! thanks guys.

Hot Hatch:  I really like the Swift, just not enough giddy up.  I avoided the wreck on the last turn that took out Racecar & I think Mudd.  Didn't push it enough and Clip caught me with 3 laps left.  Couldn't see Madison at all, so I had no idea I was actually in 3rd ???

Pony Cars:  Great race, just like Racecar I was running on balds and couldn't make the pass on the final turn.  I'm pretty sure you got me by a bumper.  Glad to know I didn't spin Clip, but my gold must have blinded him on the last turn.

ZR1 RM: STUPID TURN 4, STUPID TURN 4, STUPID TURN 4.  Can anyone guess where I had problems?

Like someone else said, top 5 spots are going to be tough

Who picked Rome for the next track.....? :o

I have confirmed that hosting a room does not give you any advantage in grip or at all  ;D

I think we had less incidents because everyone was mostly new and didn't want to cause too much trouble, give them a few races though...

I was out testing a new shifter in the real Z06 before I got in the lounge, that might have helped my stint in the ZR1.

I am curious on the lap times between the 2 lounges. Maybe we can have a inter-lounge competition for fastest lap times each week?

I will see if I can pull the fastest race lap for each class watching the replays.  I know my best might have been a 1:09 in the ZR1 but need to check

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Mudd on Mon May, 14 @ 04:02 PM (pacific)
Hmm...That makes me curious just to see how the lap times compare between the two lounges, but I really don't think the race laps are an accurate judge of the fastest car. I think I ran a 1:06.7xx during pre-race practice, but I assure you I didn't even come anywhere close to that during race while I was trying to make the tires last. If we want to recognize a "fastest lap", we should use the B or C classes. I don't think anyone's really holding back as much there. Not that it would bother me if ya wanna use the race laps from A class, I'm just pointing out that most of the front runners were holding back a little to save tires.

Edit: now that I think about it, I think a 'fastest C class lap' recognition might be kinda fun.
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Racer2727 on Mon May, 14 @ 04:54 PM (pacific)
I enjoyed the night of racing too, although I was disappointed that there wasn't as much door to door action as I was hoping for.  I was only fast enough in the HATCH class to pass those who went astray.  The B class was fun but once I was passed by I couldn't catch TeeLo or Gfactor - they were much faster (in a separate class) and I wasn't challenged from anyone else.  Same thing for the Z06 race- stayed out of trouble but didn't really race anyone- just paced around conserving tires and (trying to) avoiding damage when passing lapped cars.

I am sure that the first week is not indicative of the racing in the coming weeks, if we keep the same racers in the lounge(s) and the more practicing & tuning happens (me included!).

I am interested in comparing lap times too. Although it might prove to be depressing/humiliating.

Question: who is keeping track of the car changes in the classes? Is it an 'on you honor' system?

Thanks for including me.  I am looking forward to the practice lounges and up coming races.

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Clipless72 on Mon May, 14 @ 05:03 PM (pacific)
I am not sure that keeping track between lounges is going to be an apples to apples comparison.  I am not against it at all but there is that GT5 feature where grip changes based on the room and the number of participants.  I have been in rooms where they is a +/-2 second difference from a lap I ran in another lounge and they where both pretty much the fastest cleanest laps I could run at the time.

Do you have to watch the replays to find the fastest laps?

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Racer2727 on Mon May, 14 @ 05:15 PM (pacific)
Interesting thought.

I know a lot of racers were complaining that their car seemed to have greater oversteer once the race started than in practice.  Mine was so bad in qualifying, I sadly turned on ASM to help control the rotation in the corners driving the hatch class.

Does La-Z-Boy Racing have a Twitter handle yet?  It would be a great way to keep in touch with other, especially when racers are interested in practicing.

I'm @TommyRacer27 on twitter if your interested.  I don't tweet much, but it's a great way to follow F1, ALMS and other interests.

I thought my lap times from practice were slower than the race in c class and faster in b and a . It's a long season ahead. Those top 6 in both lounges will be tricky to get. And this championship race will be really fun.
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: racecar73 on Tue May, 15 @ 05:27 AM (pacific)
I do like the comparison of lounge to lounge times.

However, I can't put much stock in the results. As Clip said, and I have tested, different lounges are just different.I have put up a practice time, went to a different room and was 2 seconds off. And that is pushing it right on the edge. I just don't think it is accurate from room to room.

But it is definitely fun to talk about, and see where everyone is.

I am very glad everyone had a good time and the new members are liking the League.

Don't forget you will have Agent and Zute to deal with this week. ;D

Deep Forest Division---you will return to your regular scheduled program and race in Zutalores lounge.

Thank you G for filling in on short notice. ;)

PS--Making the Final is going to be brutal.

Agent laying down the Smack already? I need to get some practice, wish I had more time.  Might instruct at a track day this weekend so any thought of practice is out if I do that.

Racer, I got the pics handled ok for our lounge.  I try to take the pics when working out on my stationary bike.

You enter photo mode during a replay, take said pics, then you find them in the Gt5 section chose the ones you want and export them to the PS3.

They are now in the photo section on the PS3 menu, from there you can save to a flash drive then transfer to a PC to a web or photo hosting site.

Ouch, that track had some solid walls. Good racing tonight, nice job in the Vette Madison, dominated that race. I gotta appoligise to Delta for that B class wreck, Racecar was on my tail and I was watching my mirror instead of your car. Oops. We both had somthing for the leader in that one, too. We'll get 'em next time!  :P

Ah, Street Circuits.

In A, after driving two stints with damage I found myself closing in on Zute for 2nd with plenty of tire left just to bounce off the 2 walls on  that downhill right hand corner. Major damage on the front engine too, had to pit with 2 laps to go.  At least I go my lap back from TeeLow as he was spinning on corded tires on this last lap but still a large lead.

One can only ponder the result had I not hit that wall (over and over and over)  :o

FYI One of my recruits GoldenFri got his first win last last in C and finished ahead of me in B and A (note to self, find slower recruits).

Agent decimated the field in the B class

Damage killed my A class race. I was managing the field and tires in first stint well up to 5th. Then all went down hill. Got caught up in lapped traffic, pushed to hard, and made mental error in the pits. I think I pitted to fix damage too soon- thought I could make up the time with a fixed car and new tires, but more issues arose.  Need to practice driving a damaged vette.
Good times all in all.  Looking forward to practicing for Trial Mt and the upcoming break.

Grand Valley room was a little light on traffic, we were missing GT0, Kody, and Msand.

C Class--Orange Civic Check Out.  The lounge did not grid us correctly. I should have started 2nd, but started on the pole.

B Class--Whoa, what a race. 4 way battle for the lead for a good 6-7 laps. Mudd, Clip, Delta and I were within a second of each other a long time. Clip slid by for the lead, then Mudd and Delta had a tangle. I barely slid through with a quick right-left maneuver. If you saved the replay, check it out. I don't think I could have been any closer. Finished behind Clip for 2nd.

A Class--Congrats Madison, good racing. I had a self inflicted damage pit at lap 4. If I would not have had the extra pit, I think Madison and I would have been battling. Managed to finish 2nd, about 11 sec behind Madison.

Those walls were very unforgiving.

On to Trial Mountain.

OK here is how my night went.

C - This is my favourite class (duh) but my Suzuki is sloooww in a straight line.  I was running in a tight group with Madison and Goldie for the first half of the race then I bumped into Madison and it took me about 5 laps to catch back up their bumpers and they where only about 10 car lengths away. Once they started battling in the last 2 laps for second that is when I caught them.

B - I won this one based on a wreck that I managed to squeeze through, then I just managed my tires for the rest of the race.

A - I came in last.

Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion
Post by: Mudd on Mon May, 21 @ 07:27 AM (pacific)
As Clip's 'Bizzaro-world' nemesis, my worst class is C. Very happy just to finish better then last in those little cars, had an incredible race-long battle with Dragon and I think I squeezed 4th out of him, might have to check the photo though. B and A I was running very strong in both but some bad luck (or maybe just ran out of skill) set me back a little in each. All in all I'm happy with the results, Rome is one of my weaker tracks on the schedule and a couple of my stronger tracks are coming up, so I feel I'm in good shape to keep a top-5 spot.

You have no idea how much this means to A LOT OF US.  I take my children to the National Cemetery in Ft. Leavenworth

As for racing, last night was a bit taxing. I got a bit grumpy so apologies for the language that may have slipped out before I was able to mute myself.  Overall it was a blast with B & C class running in 3 person packs for the majority of the race.  A Class: well I sucked! :'(

Post by: agentorunge on Mon May, 21 @ 05:33 PM (pacific)
My night went fairly well.

I picked a C class car that I knew didn't have a top end but was able to put it on pole. Unfortunately the only places I was able to pass Goldenfri were in the turns, only for him to simply drive right by me on the straights. In the later laps with him driving a safer line, even in his draft, I could not find room to pass without wrecking us. 2nd works.

B class, started patiently, made a few moves then drove away.

A class I told myself to be patient, found an opening, got clipped in the rear right in the hairpin, took damage. Then went on to take more damage. Then wrecked motor. Pitted, wrecked again. Sorry deadasme for rear ending you so hard, you were prob damaged already and broke early. Don't recall driving more than 2-3 total laps without a partially damaged car. Pitted too many times and finished 4th. Heavy damage and tracks with walls don't mix, glad that ones out of the way.

Felt good to be back racing though, had first race jitters like I hadn't felt since waaaayyyy back when we first started racing.

A big thanks to our Vets and Armed Forces.

NASA has the Wounded Warriors over at some of the track events, they ask the instructors if they will take a vet for a ride along, of course everyone volunteers. :)

We get them strapped in and take them out in the instructor group, which is fairly fast for a track day group.

They all seem pretty equal, really. I'm still having a little trouble getting used to FF tiny cars, but once I get a pattern down each week the Peugeot 207 has no trouble keeping up with either of those. Each has a different advantage, (strait line, cornering), but they seem to even out well. I think just getting used to any one model and setting it up well is more important then the actual car choice in that class.  ;)

Teelo was getting a Fender Massage (Unintentional)

I rode about 250 miles on Sat, into West Virginia and back, great roads all hill climbs, sweepers and switch backs. Little traffic except 3 pig trucks that had about 25 cars stuck behind them on a steep mountain hill climb.

We made short work of them, passing the lot in the left (on coming lane). Not much will overtake cars better than a sport bike on a mountain,

Took a pic on rt 48 which is a super highway in the middle of no-where with almost zero traffic in it. Robert Byrd Pork highway. Billions spent

It looks like the autobahn in places.

This course may be the easiest one to accidentally 'punt' someone into a corner. There are several high speed corners where drivers will be waiting for the last second to tap the brakes. We all need to remember that while we're following.

Surviving this track until the last tire stint will be the key to victory here.

Half wrong I guess. Ran out of steam toward the end of Class B. Sorry I could not hang in there. Was fun anyway and a nice change of pace for myself.

Ok not a good night for me. in the the c class race I only made it about half way around the track before I got disconnected from the server. made it through the whole b class race didn't do so well but that's just me lol... then there was that a class race and only 4 laps to go before finishing  when I got disconnected again Noooooo.. still looking forward to next sunday so I can do it all over again  :o

Talk about white knuckle driving last night!

C Class started off great as I was running pretty close with Clip for the the first 4 laps or so.  I got too impatient with it and tried a stupid pass which cost me 3 places.  Spent the next 3 laps catching back up to Madison and we battled till the end for 2nd place.

In B class I followed Racecar for the first 4 laps or so getting through traffic and spin-outs.  Finally got past then Kody and I traded spots for the remainder of the race.

A Class...Once again just tried to survive.

Agent cleaned house last night.

He lapped the field in A, he almost didn't lap me, I had a 99% clean race except for one bobble on the 2nd to last lap and broke my car. I limped around for the last lap hoping no-one would catch me.

I was very conservative on any pass, sometimes took 2-3 laps to execute cleanly.

We were discussing that last night after the races.  It seemed like the only places I could get a clean run for a pass was either turn 4 (first tunnel) or turn 5 (u-turn after main straight).  Other than that it seemed best to wait for someone to
make a mistake and go for the pass then.

Too bad I had to learn that the hard way when I was battling Clip in C class and tried to force it, causing me to spin out and lose position :-[

Also how'd I get a negative in my KARMA???

Yes Agent most definitely  clean house last night . after getting kicked off on the c class race I join the spectator mode to watch the racing it looked like he was the only 1 on the track. I'm not sure but I could of swore that I saw him pull over and have some lunch before continuing on lol....

Definitely an "off" night for me, must have used up all my luck on practice Friday. :o

C Class, 1st lap, trying to be too careful.Got in the loose stuff, ended up at the back of the pack. Worked my way back to 5th before the checkered.

B Class. Again got in the grass (D#@M IT!!!!!) again, back of the pack. Worked my way back into the top 5, and my front tires absolutely disappeared.  Spent the last 3 laps just trying to stay on the track, finished 8th.

A Class, spent the first 2 tire stints trying to catch Mudd and get in the lead. Got there, spent the last set of tires running from Kody who was making a push for the front. Victory!!

Those Vettes were a handful on Trial Mountain.

Post by: agentorunge on Mon Jun, 4 @ 02:15 PM (pacific)
As others have mentioned already, my night went very well. C Class started "randomly" 4th, was in the lead by turn 5 and drove away. The Clio's got the torque off the line on the Focus and Civic that others are running, and speed through the corners being a MR and not FF. It only lacks in top end speed but I was luckily far enough out of the draft for 2nd and 3rd to catch me by the first long straight. Gfactor, you've made a wise switch to the Clio.

In B class, I was extremely patient starting from the rear. Only passed where I could and didn't get involved in any accidents. Found my way to the front.

In A class, again, I wanted to be extremely, extremely patient starting from the rear to avoid damage like I had experienced at Rome. All I did was follow Gfactor the first entire lap and by the end of that first real lap, he was up to 3rd and I 4th, everybody had either wrecked and pitted or was damaged. Goldenfri and Racer2727 had one of the most epic wrecks I have seen in front of me going into that final kink at the end of first lap. It was awesome to view, hahaha. Afterwards found my way to the front and just concentrated on running smooth laps, avoiding damage, and pitted on laps 9 and 17 for tires.

I want to thank Gfactor for leading the way in the 1st lap and for practically letting me by him in that A class race. Teelo and Zut for practically letting me by also. And all the others that didn't make my life difficult as lapped traffic. My night may have seemed dominate but this was my first victory in an A class race of this length and with heavy damage, ever.

C changed to the Clio, I like it better but missed the gearing. Started at the back......random grid...

Cleanly worked up to Zute and Teelow finished 1 100th behind Zute for 4th,

Same deal for B, stayed out of trouble slowly made progress, lots of spinners in B. Agent was gone again,

I did let you by...I knew I couldn't run at your pace and trying to stay in front would have ended in the wall.

I saw that Epic wreck also, had to drive through the smoke.

Thanks!

Welcome jucksman.

We run 3 races per race night, 1 of each class. We start the night off with C class, then B, then finish up with the marathon A class.

It is not too late to participate. I'm glad you have done some reading before posting.

We expect all members to race cleanly and with good sportsmanship at all times.

I will place you in a division later this evening.

Please dont hesitate if you have any questions.

Awesome pics as usual Gfactor! I forgot to mention previously because I was hoping you could capture a photo of it. But during the A race, at the end of lap 17 when I was about to pit, Deadasme was driving in reverse on the track because he had wrecked right after the pit entrance, so he had turned around to enter the pit. When I saw him in driving in reverse on the track it scared the hell out of me until I realized he was entering the pit, hahaha. Thought it'd be a funny photo.

That is great! I have a few rookie questions:
1. Can I paint my cars for all divisions any color I want, or should I keep them all the same color? How do I know wich colours are 'taken'?
2. I noticed that the number '7' isn't in use..can I choose this number in the series?
3. Are setup changes allowed in the series?
4. I try to race as cleanly as posible, but as a rookie at online races I still make the odd mystake from time to time...How can I prevent not ruining anybody else's race?
5. I don't have a headset, only a bluetooth keyboard, and I race using the ps3 controller...are those allowed?
6. In wich timezone  the races take place? As I live in Brazil, I'm probably in a different time zone than most of you guys...

I know its a lot of questions, but I don't want to leave anything to chance and I really want to do this the right way. :-)

1. Can I paint my cars for all divisions any color I want, or should I keep them all the same color? How do I know wich colours are 'taken'?

You can chose any color you like, some use the same combo's, I change up a bit,

2. I noticed that the number '7' isn't in use..can I choose this number in the series?

If no-one claimed it you can use it. Some people in our lounge are still using no 1 which is not allowed...  ;)

3. Are setup changes allowed in the series?

Yes for this series its limited by PP, Tires or HP and Weight all changes that fit under those parameters are ok

4. I try to race as cleanly as posible, but as a rookie at online races I still make the odd mystake from time to time...How can I prevent not ruining anybody else's race?

It takes patience, racing for position you need to plan your move not just go for it. A class this is critical. Also learn how to yield a corner if someone makes a good move on you if they have their front wheel past yours on the corner exit its their corner

5. I don't have a headset, only a bluetooth keyboard, and I race using the ps3 controller...are those allowed?

I have one,  gives me headache so I use the keyboard now

6. In wich timezone  the races take place? As I live in Brazil, I'm probably in a different time zone than most of you guy

Eastern US.

Mudd has #7.

All good Agent. There will be no penalty.....This time.

Driving backwards on the track or reversing on the track (except to get correct yourself) is strictly prohibited for any reason.

I know we all know this, but NO ONE should be running the #1 plate. Please let me know who is still running it so we can get it corrected.

And we all make mistakes jucksman. I am more referring to intentional blocking, cutting members off in a corner, ramming, late braking, things like that. Drive as clean as you can and you should be fine.

Welcome.

Most crucially is how to re-enter the track if you go off. Do not just try to get back on immediately no matter what sort of battle you have going on or what position you have. Watch behind you and on your map to see if it is safe to get back on. If people are coming up, you just have to wait for them to go by.

Also, if you run someone else off, it has been our way to let them pass you even if it means giving up places to do so.

Just had my first go with the 'vette at Trial Mountain...did a best lap in 1:25. Don't know if that's a decent attempt, but I feel there's a lot more performance to come from this car. I still have do understand the track better (never raced there) and tweak the suspension and transmission better, because the track surface is very bumpy...

For the other classes, I'm thinking about entering with the renault clio V6 and the chevy camaro...and number 11, if that's not taken. :-)

hello Jucksman and welcome

Don't forget to introduce yourself over in the other thread!

That times seems reasonable but that track is not friendly to that car at all.  You should move over to the track we are running this week (Grand Valley East Reverse) and get some practice in there.  The clio is pretty good and so is the camero so you should be fine.  Remember you dont get to change cars in B class after you select so make sure you love the car or it's the least of the 3 evils.  You do however get to change your C class car once.

It looks like number 11 is taken.  if  you go here:

Hello, Clipless72!
Thanks for the warm welcome!

Man, can you believe I went testing in the wrong track??? LOL...Can you imagine the headlines if a real racing team did that????
I'll have to take my #88 'Vette (finally found a number that's not taken yet) to Grand Valley later today and start grinding...At least, this track I know from my GT500 races, so I guess the setup should come easier...

I've been searching the forum but I didn't find an answer to this question: in all series, cars are limited by HP, not PP. Does that mean we can make aero/weight/power upgrades and detune the car to the allowed HP limit?

Those answer are on the main page as well (scrolling above).  C&B classes are controlled by the PP and A class is a power and weight restriction.    There are no tuning restrictions in this series.

It would be funny if a racing team went to the wrong track for sure.

Welcome Jucksman!  I will be on tonight around 9 as well and can answer any additional questions that you have.

My piece of advice......be patient.  Accidents mainly happen because drivers are impatient and cause a wreck.  With Class A having full damage, you can ruin someone else race.  Don't try to be the fastest guy on the track, try to be the most consistent.  It has worked so far for me.  I have not missed a Championship race yet.

Good luck and see you on the track.

That is excellent advice, Zutalores.
I have lost many races online even with the fastest car for being too impatient and going off track or overcooking my tyres...It's frustrating to finish 9th or 11th when you are 1 sec faster than the leader per lap...
Now I have a little more experience and am learning to take my time. My biggest flaw nowadays is at standing race starts (already improving on that) and the first lap of the race, with tyres still cold. The lack of grip still gets me sometimes, because I usually race with no aids on...

You will race in Zutalore's lounge for the remainder of Series 9 for official races.

So we are clear, the track is Grand Valley East Reverse.

Welcome JucksmanBR. I think you will find the racing lively and highly competitive! The nightly practice is fun and relaxed with enjoyable conversation.

Not sure this was mentioned yet, but Class A (Corvette) is run with HEAVY damage making the car even more challenging to drive when you make inevitable contact with other racers or racetrack barriers.  Couple that with the fast tire wear and it's a scramble to scratch your way forward and stay there.

Looking forward to racing against you soon!

Well there were lots of points to go around that's for sure, in Grand Valley division. ;D

Here is how my night went:

C Class was a ton of fun but I hadn't raced since the hour or so I spent last Wednesday night.  For some reason I thought I needed to be in first all the time and I punted Racecar on the first or second lap.  So I let him by and the whole field went by  because there wasn't a car length separating any of the cars.  Managed to make my way up to third but my poor Suzuki couldn't hit more then about 115 on the straight unless of course Kody was helping me and then I could hit 126 and bump of the rev limiter.

B Class once again I was being a f'tard and punted delta, pulled over and then we ran up through the field.  Crazy was running away and I was making up time on him but not quite enough to catch him until he bobbled then I got him on the second last turn.

A Class I promised myself I was not going to be a tard an was being very patient.  I was trailing Delta or Mudd (can't remember) and then his car went into the wall then is was behind me in a pile of smoke, then it was in front of me, and then it was on top of me (it was a mini PSN special, Lagapoluza).  By then my car was trashed on lap 5 and I couldn't possilby run two 14 lap stints with that car on those tires.  I am not sure I had what it took to win that one but I may have been a place or two higher (maybe).

Suckage is my statement about last night.

Worked my way up to 2nd in A with careful tire management then in the fast corner at the end of straight someones headset put of a loud screech/crackle that just killed my concentration for a split second, hello wall. After that I everything went downhill.

A and B were about the same as I recall.

All mics are getting muted next go-around.

The southern most point of Ontario (my province) is equivilant in lattitude to northern California.

Had a pretty good night of racing Sunday night.  All in all was pretty clean racing (sorry Kody for our contact!)
& I pulled off wins in C & B.  Then the wheels fell off in A class >:( I was running fourth until I went to pit and bounced off it and back into the course causing me to drive the next lap with a top speed of a whopping 61 MPH!

The good news is that in practice last night, Dragon and Trans helped me get my get my Vette set-up.  I had my brake bias
all jacked up causing me to almost spin every time I touched my brakes.  Ran great last night, hopefully now I can compete in A class instead of just being relegated to lap traffic.

Any news on updating standings??

Since I was watching the replay of the epic wreck in our A class race, I decided to be photographer for the week since Gfactor missed the race. I've got to say, this wreck was the most epic of all wrecks this league has ever seen. It was the most hilarious thing to watch, with honking, 6 point turns, 3 car road block, more honking, ridiculous skid marks, it was awesome! 4 cars involved and the other 3 were able to drive through it. It also should be a good reason to implement cautions into our races for next series? If not for all the races, maybe just the long one? Just throwing that out there.

Enjoy!

My night started off well when I broke a clamp on my driving force in practice. Guess you can saw the wheel off for about a year and a half before the clamp gives out!

Had the lead in C class, just couldn't hold on. Finished 3rd.

B class continues to be my struggle. At least I didn't burn the front tires off this week. Finished 6th.

A class, had a small tangle with steeler who had a damaged car, and almost the entire field got collected in the aftermath. I got away clean, never got damaged and never looked back. 100 pts!

Now on to wheel shopping!

I dont know if I would call it "Good" carnage.  I had a great setup and had my pits scheduled perfectly to pass Teelo when he made his last stop.  Pretty much I was set to win but Agent stole it from me! Lol.   Accidents happen so I wasn't too upset, just slightly disappointed.  It looked great in the replay though.

I was pecking away at your lead without killing my tires and MAY have had a chance to race you to the finish (16 seconds down to 7).  Then I think my torrettes kicked in and I smashed the crap outta the wall on lap 37.  I pitted and lost 2 spots.

Don't worry about the smack-talk Kody. It's just code for 'good race'.  ;D

To use the new track, everyone would have to purchase it. PD did not give the non-purchasers a free trial grace period this time. I do recomend the purchase though, it's a very good track and with several layouts. Very good racing on it.

Are you just clamping to a table? Does the Logitech has mounting screw holes in the base?
Title: Re: Series 9 Discussion

The G27 has bolt hole mounts.

The Driving Force GT only has table clamps.

No worries Clip, I am considering making some aluminum ones. They will not break. ;)

I had the earlier logitech wheels (PS2 and GT3 and 4) those were clamp types too. One I gave away the other was tossed out when I got the Fanatec. I should have kept them for the clamps and profit!

Real light room last night, only 5 racers.

That's alright though, I'll take more points!! ;)

C Class, started on the pole, never looked back. 100 pts.

B Class, had the lead by lap 4 or 5, and gone! 100 pts.

A Class, had my struggle. I think I pitted 3 times in 5 laps at 1 point. Mudd stayed out of trouble and took the win. 90 pts.

Good, easy racing with no traffic. Made up most of my points from vacation. 8)

I hate hot hatch, that's what I get for switching to a French car... (Apologies to any French folks here). Slow as dirt, can't get the gearing right.

At least that gave me the Pole for B class. Got away clean, tried to fend off team trans for the lead for a few corners but had to give up the position.

I think the rest of the field got caught up as they are not in my mirror after lap one, I went into tire conservation mode and tired to keep trans in sight.

Eventually I caught him on the Rahall straight (up the hill after turn 6). After that I had a 9-12 second lead and just nursed my tires had the race been 1 lap longer I would have been in trouble.

A worked my way to 2nd by the 3rd stint and battled with Morbid who pulled away and I had to settle for 3rd. Didn't have a great car but stayed out of trouble.

Lets see, how did my night go...............

Class C:  Started in second and took the lead for a while until Teelo caught up and passed me for the win. 90pts

Class B:  Don't know what happened!?!?!?!?  30pts

Class A:  Don't want to discuss it!?!?!?!?  30pts

Everyone raced real well and all of my mistakes were self inflicted.  I think that is the last night I will drive bare foot.  I have to blame it on something.

See you guys next week.

I'm slightly dissapointed in my B class performance last night, but happy with a good points night. I knew my Peugeot had nothing for that Honda in the Hatch race, so holding 2nd was great for me. I really thought my best chance for a win was B class, and I had Racecar on the run for a couple laps, then I completey forgot how to negotiate turn 6 apparently, 'cause it got me 3 times. Managed to hold on for 3rd. Then the C class... I knew what I had to do, stop Racecar's hat-trick while earning a podium trifecta for myself. I played it smart by not battling RC and rather just followed him around for a bit, took an intensional odd pit stop just to give myself an open track for the second stint and it worked perfectly. When I finally saw RC in my mirror, I turned it up just enough to make him have to really push to catch me, and held him off until he dissappeared in a cloud of smoke and dust behind me. Coasted from there to earn my first win for the season. I certainly don't wish any bad luck on any of my competitors, but if you have some, I'm darn sure gonna capitalize on it.  8) Good racin' fellas, and a 'Hi-five' to Steeler for his podium last night.

One more race to The Championship!!

The top 6 from each division will advance to the final round.

It looks like we have a tight race for the last spot in Grand Valley. Who's going to take it?

There are 4 racers in contention for the final 2 spots Deep Forest. Should be an interesting week in that room.

And unless something crazy happens, it looks like Teelo is going to be the overall points leader. Congrats to Teelo, you've come a long way! ;)

Make sure you have your DLC so you dont get left out!! 8)

Good night of racing, the turn out was a little light again.

C Class had one hell of a battle with Delta for 4 1/2 laps. Got caught in the draft, pulled a little too hard, touched some grass and off I went. Finished 4th.

B Class. Another race, another battle with Delta. 9 laps of back and forth, with Kody joining the action on the last couple laps. I finished +.166 to Delta for 2nd place.

A Class had a massive glitch that affected half the field. As lap 2 was coming to an end, right at the chicane before the start/finish, Kody's car went to a dead stop on my screen. There was no time for reaction, and I hit him hard, putting him into GT0. On Kody's screen it probably looked like I came out of nowhere, but obviously the server lost some time in there. I was steadily a second behind him, then all the sudden I was in his bumper. Fix the damn servers!!!! >:( Finished 3rd.

On to the Champ Race!!

Once again LZ does not disappoint.  Started of with a duel in C class with Racecar for the 4-5 laps running in tandem thru some and trading position on the front straight.  He caught too much draft before the chicane and I finally got free for the win.

B class was more of the same with Racecar...Somehow on very first turn I went from last to 3rd.  By lap 4 it we pulled away and got into a groove.  I think it was 2nd to last lap when I looked up and saw Kody come flying up in 3rd and it was a mad dash to the end.  Won by .166 seconds and Kody was less than a 1/2 second behind as well.

On A class I tried something new by running racing mediums to make it a 1 pit race.  Mini PSN on last turn lap 1 caught Kody / Racecar and GTO (I believe) By lap 6 I caught Mudd & Steeler and took the lead.  Couldn't hold off Kody towards the end and he got me with 3 laps left.  Never was able to close the gap and got 2nd.

Looking forward to Champ races minus the fact that for some reason Agent and I can't see each other on the track >:(

B I led the entire race except for the last half of the last lap when Agent slipped by. Wasted tires.

Class A was a bummer. When I looked at the damage report I didn't have that much red so I figured I'd try to drive it. It felt ok too at first but in eau rouge it wasn 't stable and I finished breaking the parts that were not already broken. Limped around to be -1:00'ish after pitting. I would have been much better off just pitting as soon as it happened but oh well. I wrecked again midway through and basically didn't see anyone for the whole race.

C and B were more fun and it has gotten to be where you just can't make any mistakes!

If you are referring the maroon Ford Focus, that is Kody. And if you think that is pink, you may want an eye color test. :P
