    Here are my suggestions:

Idea 1) Porsche 911 at Okayama Short or Watkins Glen or Interlagos or Road Atlanta:
    – 25min races, with 10min qualify session for first race.
    – Do three races in a row with race #2 and #3 grids set up in reverse of the previous race finishing order so the fast guys have to fight their way to the front.

Idea 2) Lotus 49 at Watkins Glen:
    – run two 15min races with 15min qualify session before race #1
    – run second race with reverse starting grid based results from first race so fast guys have to fight to the front.

Idea 3) Silverado Nascar Truck at Daytona Oval:
    – run 4 10min races, first race has 10min qualify session to set the grid, each subsequent race runs reverse grid based on previous race results.

Idea 4) Multi class race at Suzuka Short course, 20 or 30 min race:
    – 15 min qualifying session
    – Porsche and Lotus 49
    – Porsche must start behind the Lotus at start

What are your thoughts? Do you have any other ideas on car and track combos?

For the short races and reverse grid stuff, we will probably need to do that gentleman style, since the tools iRacing offers to handle that are not good.

So for example on this one:
Idea 2) Lotus 49 at Watkins Glen:
    – run two 15min races with 15min qualify session before race #1
    – run second race with reverse starting grid based results from first race so fast guys have to fight to the front.

We’d probably need to setup a session that was qualify + 40 mins race. At the 15M mark in race #1, have everyone reassemble in reverse order for a restart.

    Ok

    Hey,

It doesn’t matter to me which car we drive, I am happy with whatever is chosen.

Considering it is just for “fun” I like the idea of multiple shorter races.

How about the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car at Watkins Glen International with boot. The modern day track. The 911 is so much fun in the chicane…it’s a lesson in drift control. We could do something similar to the first week with a practice/qualify session and two 10 minute races on the end. Even make everyone drive into the pits in between races to get fresh tires and come out together for the next race. That way everyone is damage free and has fresh tires again.

That turned out to be a bucket load of fun!! I love that car, especially at the Glen.

so tomorrow would be fun with the Skippy on something short like the small version of suzuka or any truncated version.

That car is just fun anywhere really.

I vote for the skippy at Oulton Park with the Island layout. Great car / track combo.
