I do find the mix races quite intimidating.  I am hoping thet they run the Mclaren as a spec series.

Post by: racecar73 on Wed Jan, 2 @ 10:00 AM (pacific)
The mixed class does not bother me. Ain't scared.  :P

But I do think maybe we should consider running our league night like the TRD race we attended last night. There was a pretty good turn out and for a fairly unpopular car.

Maybe we should consider running it in the "open lobby" like that was, with the 3 short races. That was pretty fun. I don't know if we can carry that over to scoring in our league, but it might be worth looking into.

I do not fear the "open lobby" like I did in GT. In fact, every open hosted race I have attended was full of good drivers. There is definitely a different mindset from GT drivers to iRacing drivers and that really shows in the open races.

Imagine if we would host something similar with a very popular car (McLaren), it would be packed.

Just a thought I had. It may take more logistics, but may also boost our numbers quickly.

We can easily try an experiment to see how it would go! I didn't get a chance to understand the format of the race last night but in the Mclaren there needs significant practice or it will be messy. That Jetta is very forgiving and you can bash it around an unknown tack without significant issue - and not even lose that much time doing it. For example I jumped in as a ghost and did ok with having never driven the car before. That would not happen in the Mclaren.

Post by: Clipless72 on Wed Jan, 2 @ 11:11 AM (pacific)
I did like that format last night it was a lot of fun.  I am pretty sure it was a tournament format.

I think whichever car we run it should follow the official race schedule.  I would like to be able to compete in the official series and get my irating moving.

Lately I have been jumping from car to car, which is fun but not the best way to get faster.

I like almost any car in this game so I am open to suggestions.  Having said that I am sure the Mclaren will be the most popular car in the upcoming season.

I am finding the same thing - I like all the cars. Every time I drive one for any length of time I start to really like it.

I am also pretty sure the McLaren will dominate the popularity of the next season.

Bring on the RUF.  ;D

It seems to be that they will be better able to simulate multi-class real world racing series better soon. Really looking forward to seeing next seasons schedule but realistically S2 2013 could be  atime for big changes.

There is now talk of next seasons schedules on the iracing forum.  Looks like every car will have an official race everyday!!!

Also Tony Gardiner has said there should be a lotus 49 race every 2 hours!!

I know that is a lot of exclamation points but it makes me happy! ;D

Did you find anything more specific than these comments:

"thinking of putting McLaren with DP"
"McLaren will also be GT series like now. "

and then talk of Mclaren in Grand Am.

no nothing more yet, looks like we are going to have to wait a couple of weeks.  I hope the McLaren is running fixed set-up though.

I am going to run that mclaren tonight for sure.  I would like to get in on an official race around 10pm est but we will see how the night plays out.

So it looks like the McLaren will be in 2 series next season. Any idea which series we would follow?  Personally I'd vote for GT Challenge for the simple fact there are no 80 min races. I have enough trouble with half hour in class D. I don't think I could ever finish a race without an interruption.   Both Grand Am and GT seem to have a nice selection of tracks
Title: Re: (iRacing) Series 2 McLaren MP4-12C
Post by: GT0 (Alex) on Mon Jan, 14 @ 10:29 PM (pacific)
M3. I think we are hoping that the McLaren has its own series. If not we will chose to follow the one most of us plan to run. Till the next season's schedule is released I am not anyone knows yet. In any case we will follow the series track schedule but we can do whatever race length we would like.

What is your preference?
Title: Re: (iRacing) Series 2 McLaren MP4-12C
Post by: racecar73 on Tue Jan, 15 @ 07:02 AM (pacific)
Definitely waiting to see what they have planned for next season.

Ideally, they will see the popularity of the McLaren and decide it is worthy of it's own series.

If not, we will probably run along with the GT Challenge Series.

The schedules are out. That's what I was referring to in my post. Look on the iRacing sight in the staff announcements section. It's in the Grand-am and GTC series.  I like the shorter races of the GTC better. I like the tracks about equally

Looking over the 2013 Season 1 Schedule, I notice one huge change..

Nvidia Cup is running a new rotation!!! (I race alot of Nvidia. Always iRating/SR to be had.  :P)

1) Summit Point
2) Okayama Full Course
3) Lime Rock
4) Laguna Seca

Very nice to see they got off the 2 track rotation. Should be good times!!

Is it just me or is this car easy to drive?  I just bough it yesterday and took it out for a spin. I've spen the last 2 seasons driving the Skip and this seems so easy in comparison. I only had 2 spins and both were due to stupidity. I could come into a corner too fast and not spin. In the skip it took at least 2 hours of practice each week to get even slightly comfortable with a race. I think I'm going to enjoy racing this for a season

I find that it it communicates better thought the ffb and I can feel what going on.  It does seem easier to get acclimated in this car then some of the others.

The Skippy was designed to be unstable (school car) and well, it is :)

The SRF chassis was designed for a different engine (no really) than it ended up with and as a result became a kooky lift oversteer eccentric.

The Mustang has the tires from a Yogo, a suspension made of bubble gum, engineering from 1932 and 325 HP.

The Radical is extremely sane for an insane car.

The McLaren was designed to be an easy to drive, race winning GT car and well, it is.

Mx-5 is really hit and miss for me but in the evenings whenever I get a chance and don't have to practice for a league or the roar.

I probably race the MX5 more than any other car at the moment.

That will probably change once our League lines up with GT Challenge.

Groovy.
I'll look out for you when I'm sitting down in the Mazda. I don't race it as often as I want to, but that's ok. I spend my other time in the Mustang, MP4 or Radical!

Does the new wed night series start next week?
Cheers.
Title: Re: (iRacing) Proposed Series 2- The McLaren MP4-12C
Post by: GT0 (Alex) on Fri Jan, 18 @ 04:33 PM (pacific)
We will follow the regular Season 1 2013 schedule. I believe next week is an off week (correct me if I am wrong) and then the series start the week following. First race will be  a "test" and not count toward the series but then we are off on the point races. I'll double check that though.

I am going to post an interest/recruitment thread in the MP4 board. I'll post the link here when I do and I'd love to get all  of us to drop in and participate in the thread to show we have a real group. My attempts at promoting the Mustang series didn't go far.

I was thinking of naming the series something like:

The MP4
The McLaren Project 4 (not technically correct to ID it this way I guess)
McLaren Performance Index 12
Spec MP4

Something that has an obvious connection to the car so as to bring in those interested in it.

Someone opine on that before I commit us :)

From Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McLaren_MP4-12C (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McLaren_MP4-12C)

The name of the new McLaren sports car is MP4-12C. 'MP4' has been the chassis designation for all McLaren Formula 1 cars since 1981. Since 1997, 'MP4' has stood for McLaren Project 4 (from 1981 to 1996, when McLaren's title sponsor was Marlboro, the "M" stood for this), resulting from the merger of Ron Dennis' Project 4 organisation with McLaren. The '12' refers to McLaren's internal Vehicle Performance Index through which it rates key performance criteria both for competitors and for its own cars. The criteria combine power, weight, emissions, and aerodynamic efficiency. The coalition of all these values delivers an overall performance index that has been used as a benchmark throughout the car's development. The 'C' refers to Carbon, highlighting the application of carbon fibre technology to the future range of McLaren sports cars.

MP4-12C shares its name with the MP4/12 Formula 1 car that raced in the 1997 season. This car featured a second brake pedal discovered by photographers to counter understeer on the exit of the corners by selecting the inside rear wheel, similar to the computer controlled "brake steer" system of the MP4-12C.

I think we have to so we stay on schedule with GT Challenge?

Ran some practice on Spa last night. I was using the medium downforce setup with front tire pressure @ 20.5 and rear tire pressure  @ 20.0. It felt very stable. If I remember correctly, my fastest lap was 2:24.4xx.

There was somebody in there running 2:19 !!!!!!! :o

Great racing last night. I was feeling pretty down during practice since I just could not get it together - either car or track. But even thought my race results were not impressive, I never had a spin or crash and could see with some more practice giving a good race to a few of those who passed me. Like I said before I don't mind doing poorly but I hate being incompetent.

I've seen people link to hosted results before (I think) so I'll look and see if I can figure it out.

1. The user names on this site are not even close to the iRacing names. How do I go about determining who I am reading on this site with respect to iRacing?

2. Your link to the MP4 project is blocked by my server. This is the link at the top of this page. I was looking for series information - tracks, race times, number of laps, etc. for the league. Where do I go on this site to get this information?

Hello Scot. Welcome. We are here to stay, running steadily for over a year - so we are off the ground. Our participation in iRacing is low, but we will have someone for you to race always :)

1. We know one another well enough that real names and forum names have not been an issue. I'd suggest to members that we add our real names to our forum signatures - or at least first name, last initial to help with that.

2. Thanks for letting me know the shortened url not working for you. I'll change it. But to answer your question, first post in this thread should have the details on our series.

Welcome Scot, we have been running together for a few years so we will be around for a long while.  We probably haven't done enough recruiting but that's going to change.  You should enjoy yourself here once you get by the sarcasm 8)

Welcome Scot. We are definitely here to stay. We are just fairly new to iRacing. The screen names are carry overs from Gran Turismo 5. We all used our PSN tags so you would know who you were talking to.

Teamspeak is like your phone. You know, those 2 cans with the string? Except they are connected with a series of tubes.

Teamspeak is a voice chat program, like the voice chat built into iRacing that allows us to speak to one another while racing. Except teamspeak has some nice additional features and gives us an open channel of communication even if we are not in the same race room at the same time. It is good.

And be careful who you are calling grandpa, you might be right.

^^ Everyone here falls under the "mature" category, so you're not alone. lol

Teamspeak does not require "push to talk" like the iRacing radio. It allows us a much more relaxed and casual atmosphere. If you are not on channel with us, you are missing most of the conversation. It's a lot more like hanging out with your buddies than just "race" talk.

As I mentioned in my iRacing post, we are much more a group of friends than just "members" in a league.

I have been racing with Alex and Randy for 2 years going back to the beginning of LZRacing and GT5. Jonathon has been a great addition to the club and I hope you are comfortable here also.

We will continue to recruit and try to build our numbers.

In case this helps anyone :)

Jeremy. I took that setup med down + 20 psi rear pressures.

After laps I noticed inside tire wear on front was a lot higher than center or outside so I lowered camber to -2.0 on both fronts. Instant improvements in cornering speed.

Also, bumped brake balance to 63% because I was a little wobbly transitioning from braking to turn in. But that is probably just me.

Also, played with the throttle shape. Default is 1 which snaps the throttle open. That was making me make mistakes when not being careful, so I went to 10 which is linear and think throttle control is better. 10 might be going too far but 1 is not right for me. I didn't play with this much but I think >1 is a big improvement.

Sorry about being an ass, see my avatar  8), but is the race this Wednesday 45 minutes or 23 laps? I know specifics - I like them - and if the hosted race is set for 23 laps it is much easier for me to calculate fuel for the race.
Title: Re: (iRacing) Series 2- The McLaren Project 4
Post by: racecar73 on Tue Feb, 5 @ 05:04 AM (pacific)
The race will be 45 min., rolling start.

We are running the same as the official series, so to get more practice for the official series.

My rough schedule is to run some practice on Mon or Tues. Run our club race on Wed. Then more practice over the weekend and run an official race Sundays @ 9pm EDT.

I will be racing and practicing in between, but that is the main schedule for me.

I did lower my camber Alex.

It did seem to help a little bit.

I have not messed with throttle shape yet.

What I read on the forum is that you should look at tire wear after running some laps. Wear should be uniform across the tire. If it is more worn on the inside, reduce camber. More worn on the outside, increase. That seems pretty intuitive to me.

Thing I don't get is tire pressure. How do you figure out proper tire pressure?
Title: Re: (iRacing) Series 2- The McLaren Project 4
Post by: scrowner on Tue Feb, 5 @ 02:08 PM (pacific)
Tire pressure is set for optimum grip. This optimum grip occurs at a certain temperature.  The rule of thumb is 93C/200F - however the MP4 seems to like maybe as high as 97C/210F. So, set your pressures about mid range, run till they feel like ice or 4 laps and check I and M temps in the garage. If exceeding, 97C/210F then increase pressure. If way below 97C/210F decrease pressure. Always increase/decrease pressure of tires in pairs - front and rear. You will find a pressure that suits your driving style and has optimum grip for the car. Non-paired pressures from side to side only occurs on courses with crazy banking - Daytona. But I still work the front and rears in pairs - moving the pressure the same number of clicks till I get something temperature stable.

I'm glad to see you're changing your car set up Alex, it'll be good to see you higher up the field during a race. However, thanks to your tips, I'll of course give them a try and further dominate the races with my new found speed. Heh heh.

Love those rumble strips *zzzzzt*

Got down to a 1:32.8 on Zolder on min fuel. Not exactly sure how that happened but I'll take it :)

As far as setup goes:
 * Kept lowering camber based on tire wear which seemed to work well on Spa.
 * I went to max downforce "just to see" and that is fastest for me.
 * Lowered brake balance

So now the braking is a bit better which seems like a big deal on this track. I can also keep it flat on T3 almost always and the end of T7 when I get the approaching line right.

I will stick around as long at the leader of the race agrees to push me to the finish rather than lap me.  ::)

Recruiting! I could send every single MP4 racer a PM to join us - at lease any below 2K iRating. But that is a fair number of people - maybe 80% of all MP4 racers. Maybe lower the iRating number a bit? I was personally planing a Tuesday night $2 prize for racers under 2K iRating. (Nice ring to it and it has a reason for them to race.....$.) I could push the prize money to your group and maybe even up it a bit to get a first and second prize. What is the thinking?

I think there are alot of iRacers out there that would fit in our group, we just have to reach them.

The members will come, it is only a matter of time.

Also a thought. Clip and I have been running the Sunday night race @ 9pm EST. We seem to have no split (single room) in this time slot. Would be nice if we could all make it and run together in an Official race each week.

I don't mind offering money again to boost participation. I gave away some for just that last time around, but I am not sure it had any actual effect on participation though. On the iRacing forum I posted several threads for our last season and I am not sure anyone noticed?

iRacers not motivated by money I guess? Even some of the cry babies who say they can't afford iRacing could not be bothered to show up and take my money :)

"iRacing is too expensive"
"Ok, show up and I'll pay you"
"Nah, can't be bothered"

But like I said, I am open to trying again. Maybe we can give away some of Randy's surplus sim racing equipment :)

Interesting that money did not attract attendance. Here is the thing.....your first, non league race was well attended. I actually finished better than last! When I came to LZs second race, the race seemed hidden, buried down in the iRacing league stuff. Why not simply setup a hosted race every Wed. evening?
Title: Re: (iRacing) Series 2- The McLaren Project 4
Post by: racecar73 on Thu Feb, 21 @ 08:43 AM (pacific)
We should run open hosted rooms more often, I agree.

It is also the way to recruit more racers.

As stated, we have not been nearly as active as we have been in the past. We need all of us to get back on board and get these hosted rooms back up.

But not on Wednesday night. That is our club time. Good example last night. Not just because I got a win. 8) I was having a great time before that. Good chat, a little banter--just hanging out. That is good fun to me and the reason I love LZ Racing so much.

We should pick a night (preferably on the weekend) and run a semi-regular hosted room on that night. With GT we had our league night, but we also regularly ran a Saturday Night Shuffle. We got quite a few good racers participating in our league from doing that.

I understand that we all have wives and sometimes the weekend doesn't go as planned. If we all make an effort, we can cover each other and keep the hosted room regular. I understand being the weekend that not everybody will make it all the time. As long as a couple members show and keep throwing up the LZRacing tag, racers will check us out. Also, if you think someone would be a good fit, we just simply send them a league invite.

And, great battle last night Clip. That was an intense 15 laps.

And thanks Coop for crashing. :P

How about a 3 event schedule.

(Pacific)
Mon 6pm Hosted McLaren race on the GTC track
Wed 6pm Official League Race
Sun 6pm LZRacing GT Challenge series participation race

On the Monday session: I know some people like to get early practice on the weeks track and a hosted room might be a good attraction. We could post it on the iRacing forum as just that - a regular hosted practice session for the week. Maybe that way we can develop a set of regulars?

I like your proposed schedule Alex.

Mondays I try not to schedule any activities. Sometimes just getting through work on a Monday can be a real chore, so I try to keep Monday evenings light. I am usually free, especially at that time of evening.

Wednesdays is blocked out on my schedule for our club time. No problem there.

Sundays I kept the schedule from our GT race time, so it is open also. Who does anything on a Sunday evening anyway??

That schedule will also leave the weekend free so I (and you) can keep the wife happy also.

What say you Clip, Coop and Crowner?

Yikes - 3 commitments. I really like the MP4 and the teamspeak bantering but my passion is the FW31. The FW31 takes a LOT of time. And I have recently been practicing for the LZ races rather than practicing in the FW31. Even though I am not that good it takes a bunch of practice to be as bad as I am. Not so sure I will commit to the Sunday race as the weekends need to be for the FW31 to have any chance of being competitive. The FW31 races never occur Sunday evening - because of SOF attendance - so there may be free time some Sunday's for me. I plan on trying to make this Sunday's race as the FW31 track is the same as the GT track this week even though the cars are so very different in handling. I am on the fence of abandoning the FW31. I find it very hard to do 2 cars right now. I had so much fun when this MP4 rolled out and iRacing ran the 24 fun series one week that I have continued. But I have put a bunch of time and effort put into the FW31. So...decisions....
Title: Re: (iRacing) Series 2- The McLaren Project 4

It's not really 3 full commitments.

Wednesday is the commitment.

Monday or Sunday if you can make it.

No way are all of us going to make it 3 times a week every week.

We just need to make sure 1 or 2 members (at least) show up Monday and host a room. I can make that most of the time, so for you guys it will be showing up if you can.

Sundays is just when I try to get my Official race in and there seems to usually be only 1 split at that time.

What he said.

We need everyone Wed.

We only need 1 of us Mon.

We need none of us Sun, it is just a time we can run in the iRacing series if we wish to. Not sure I am really up for it to be honest. I might use the time to be on teamspeak but run a difference race, not sure. But maybe after 2 practice sessions I will feel more confident.

Also, once we pick up 5-10 more racers, we will not need to run the hosted room. Our league night will be our hosted room.

Alex, I also like the schedule idea for a hosted room. Mondays are no good for me most weeks as that's when I have Yoga class. Sundays nights I could attend half the time, depends on a few factors though.

I'd also like to contribute financially to the cause too if there's a need. Let me know.  ;D

Now a moment of self promotion: I took first place in the mp4 category of the GT race I entered this morning. "Fist Pump!"

That was fun last night! VERY scary the first 2 laps but then it all was just cranking out the laps. I had an incident down in the toe of the boot where I was stacked up but I stopped in time before hitting the guy in front of me. There were cars going inside so I moved outside only to be in the middle of a 5 car horseshoe. Then I just sat there waiting for the cars to move out of the way. One of the cars was a GT? This was the first lap and I am not sure why it was ahead of me but it was the stackup reason. That incident put me second to last till I passed the pits. Then it was just passing MP4s and getting past the fastest GT up ahead of me. Sunday afternoon I sat with Johnathan and watched a vette in 2nd pass the first place guy on the kink. I pulled that move on a crazy driving MP4 that was slowing me up. Very scary as I did not know if he would turn into me at the start of the kink. My best move to date and it went over perfectly. After that it was trying to catch Jeremy but the lapping vettes and a couple of silly MP4s (out to wreck others) slowed me too much. Fun race! The teamspeak made it feel like I was not alone out there. Thanks.  ;D

That's was an interesting race last.  I made 2 mistakes or I could have maybe given Coop a run for his money.  I got a weird track cut penalty right before the start finish running over the cones on the right.  I also had a spin being a little to aggressive with throttle, this cost me a good 10 seconds.

I was catching Coop at the end but I think he was driving for the win and not pushing.  I was definitely pushing as I got my fastest lap on lap 20.

Looks like I may miss next weeks race due to some wine tasting thing my wife has signed us up for.  Gotta keep her happy too.

Looks like Jon got his points after all.

Not a good race for me. Not enough practice, lacking focus and was overall distracted.

Hopefully I can get back on the train before my Official outing. I do enjoy that track.

And your wife made plans for you on a Wednesday? ??? That's jacked up man, she knows what Wednesday night is.......... ;)

Not a good race for me. Not enough practice, lacking focus and was overall distracted.

Which makes me... :P

I was too tired to race for the unpracticed point I was at. I picked up the pace in the middle but broke my trance via distractions and did not get back into the grove.

I don't know about you all, but I can get into this driving trance where I am focused on driving but somehow not entirely in a conscious way. Sort of a trance and I can do rely well in that mode. But once I start thinking because of a distraction like a passed or passing car it takes me some time and effort to get back into what I am doing. Make me a very inconsistent racer. I think it is also why I am so terrible in multi-class racing.

Booya! That win felt good. I had my doubts that I'd be able to hold on to the end of the race. Usually I would spin out at some point and end up down the field. The final few laps I drove really carefully. Had the race been 5 min longer Randy, you probably would have caught me.

Alex, I know the trace like state you mention. I experience that too most times on the track, especially when I am in the "groove", for lack of a better word. That's when I experience the most consistent lap times, up until the moment I lose concentration and subsequently put in a shitty lap and sometimes spin or crash.  :'(

Randy, I hope your wine tasting is enjoyable. I am a fan of red wine myself, especially Spanish red.

I might see you guys on Sundays night. Ciao.

Well it is real racing time again and it is a bunch of prep work for me. Sorry I missed the start last night I was busy attaching a rear end to a BMW. Enjoyed spotting for you guys last night. Decent results with everyone getting positive additions to iRating and SR. Very nice. We have Motegi this week and it should be fun!

Alex, that means most of the hard work is done. Now it's time for fun. Once you know the track and it repetitive corners, establish a feel for the track, I think you'll come to really enjoy it AND drop your lap times. So, get in some practice and join the race on Sunday night! :)

Good luck!

Great track last night. Those bumps in the last and first turns combined with the wide open quality makes it very interesting. Too bad I couldn't keep my eyes open, I just couldn't focus. I am going on vacation for two weeks but the lead up is lots of work. l'll be gone March 19 - April 1st.

Jeremy pushed me off the course..... 8) Fun race till 15 laps of just track to look at. I have done this track a good many times as it is a regular for F1. Still not that fast in the damn car. A bit more practice. I did like the JC setup. I doubt I will be present Sunday evening as the goal is to get the Watkins Glen car running this weekend and it does not get back in my garage till Saturday night (out for roll cage). I will be having a different kind of fun in a car.....

If I find myself not in front of a car Wed or Sun evening I will come and join the LZRacing fun. I am racing April 5,6,7 on Monticello NY race track with a 68 MGB. Then April 12,13,14 on - yeah buddy! - Watkins Glen with a BMW 325e (E30). I am hoping to have my "fast" lap on video at Watkins Glen using an attach helmet cam - sweet!  ;D

Thanks for the link Jeremy! I'm interested to hear how it works for you as I'm not sure I'f I'll be making the purchase. My current pedals work great for me, so I can't really envision much improvement in response by getting the bodnar product. However, if there is a big improvment in response and control then I'm super interested.

You won the Wed race on merit for sure. I could not string together a long series of laps without incident. Twas pretty frustrating if not a little funny. Your ability to be consistant each paid lap off that night for sure.

I ran an official race this morning and it was pretty stressfull. The field was 30 cars large and on a track this small there were a lot of incidents and the cars were all close together the first 10 laps. I got a decent result as I focused on being as consistant as I could, but still managed to rack up 7 incidents and my SR has been taking a negative hit this weekend. :(

Wasn't all bad though. I had a lot of fun and had some good battles. I look forward to Sunday nights race.

You gots to complete your mpr Mr. Wagner and join me in class A already. Congrats on your race.
I ran the late race on Sunday and finished second. Sounds good, sure, but the field was pretty small. Only 5 mp4 in total. My SR and iRating have taken some serious beatings this past weekend so I think I ended up in a less competitive field. No complaints on that!  ;D

I'm glad you had a nice vacation Alex. Hawaii sounds real nice. Never been there myself, but hope to one day. I'm looking forward to racing with ya'll tomorrow. Brands Hatch was a tough track.

Hey all you sim racers! The real (slow) racer is back! Lots of late nights prepping 2 cars over the past few weeks. Both races we finished with the car running. One of the cars got a bit crumpled. In both races we had a greatly under powered vehicle compared to the pack.  But it was fun! Sim racing actually taught me the Glen really well. iRacing does not show the elevation changes like it is in real life and since I was running the Glen in faster cars on iRacing, I had one corner shift pattern wrong and it slowed me up. I was able to do the Glen - classic boot - in 2:42. If I had the shift right in turn 12, I could have broke into the 2:30s. We got passed like we were standing still on the Glen. We had maybe the only non-cheating car at the Glen race.

Results (like it matters)
'68 MGB GT (60 hp) 15 hour race over two days: 65/121 Monticello NY (lemons)
'87 BMW E30 (120 hp) two 7.5 hour races: #1 65/91, #2 55/91 Watkins Glen NY (chump)

I have a interview for a new job this evening at 7:30. I am expecting it to be about 1 hour and I should be able to get online around 9pm EST. I now have FIOS and 50/25 Mb service! This will be my first time on since my car work/race stuff. But an update should be quick. I have done a number of Daytona races in the MP4 and should be confident in the car. Anyone got a recent decent setup for Daytona road? Are we running day or night?

At the start of this season I had no thoughts of finishing in the top spot, I thought for sure Clip or Jeremy would have taken it no question. The way the season ended has been a delight, but Clip, had you not missed that one week, the final standings may have been different.
